Våge Family Update

Greetings from Norway!

With the World Wide Web at our fingertips, we have tried our best to stay in touch with as many of you as possible. It has been a wonderful resource for us to feel close to you as we have been oceans apart. And now, we have some very exciting news to share with you. 

First to catch you up to speed:

The first two years of our married life we spent living in Oslo, Norway’s capital city. Steinar finished his degree to become a Lutheran Priest and Heidi found work as an au pair as an attempt to learn the language and become familiar with Norwegian family life. 

Over the last three years we have been living in a small south coast community of six thousand people. While Steinar has been in the business of preaching, marrying, burying, confirming, baptizing, implementing and leading youth programs, Heidi has had the privilege of surviving two pregnancies and two deliveries to two very lovely children. Her time has been spent raising a family, orchestrating our social life, making friends, getting to know the neighbors and leading a bible study for young ladies.

The rumor mill has been turning and what you have heard very well may be true. We, Steinar, Heidi, Annabelle and Benjamin are embarking on a new adventure together as a family. We are on our way to Esperanza, BC, Canada.  It must not come as a surprise that we are making the big move to Heidi’s favorite place on planet earth, but what we are going to do when we get there might be.

We will be serving as missionaries. Esperanza a place that is very dear to Heidi’s heart and a place that excites Steinar to be a part of.  We will be serving in a small, remote, Christian community that reaches out predominately to the coastal people in a variety of different ways.We feel so excited to join the Esperanza staff and serve as a family sharing faith, hope and love through word and deed.
