Winter Images

I've been reminded that we are now in the last month of winter. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter means short days and colder temperatures. Although this winter hasn't been terribly harsh (especially compared to last year), apparently December was the coldest this year in Norway than it has been in the last 60 years. A few snaps from outside our window over the last few months.
Just the beginning.
Our family of four: snowmen looking over the fjord as it begins to freeze over.

December

Local deer crossing the fjord, between two islands.

Elderly (75+) ice-fishing man gliding across the fjord on his "spark".

Benjamin sleeping sweetly with a view of our first snow fall.

Our elderly neighbors on their daily trek.

Thank you for sharing your lovely photos. What a stunning winter wonderland you live in. I love the snowmen overlooking the frozen ice and the picture of Benjamin sleeping in front of the window. We have had a much milder winter as well - although we have certainly had more snow this year than last year.
